PUBLIC Registration for 2024 FALL HJSC LEAGUES starts Monday, August 12 AT 12 NOON
This is a Coed 6’s Adult League that takes place on Sunday evenings at the Harry Jerome Sports Centre in Burnaby. Courts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will be used.
The League is broken down into seeding, round robin matches, and playoffs. League dates: Sept 8, 15, 22, 29; Oct 6, 20, 27; Nov 17, 24; Dec 1, 8, & 15

No league: October 13, Nov 3 & 10th
Teams will be divided into Pool A and Pool B for each round robin and will move between the pools based on their win/loss record.
Pool C & D plays 6:30-8:30 PM.
Pool A & B plays 8:30-10:30 PM.
Priority Registration for 2023 Fall HJSC leagues will be given to those who registered in the 2023 Fall HJSC leagues.
Priority registration starts on Monday, August 5th-Sunday, August 11th.
The cost to play is $1050 + GST per team.

To register in the event, please first create an account.
Register by clicking HERE and selecting Sundays HJSC COED 6s – Fall 2024.
After creating your account and logging into the system, you will see the event(s) available for purchase.
Follow the steps to register your team, create your roster, and submit payment. Team captain/contacts should add themselves as the “Team Official” when registering. A minimum of 6 people must be added to a team’s roster to complete registration.
Each of your roster players will receive a link to complete their own account. Reminder that all players must be added to a team’s roster and have accepted their position to be eligible to play. Only those on the roster will be permitted to enter the HJSC on their designated league night.
Important – Team Captains: please activate your account (first email) BEFORE clicking through to accept your roster position (second email).

Rules | Format Format
- First week is seeding, followed by three-week round robins and playoffs. Teams will be reseeded after each round robin, with two teams moving up and down between pools.
- Teams play best 2 of 3 rally point games (25/25/15) with no cap. At least 5 points must be scored for the third game to count. If not, the match is decided by the point ratio from the first two sets.
- Match results are based on matches won versus lost. Ties are broken by games won/lost, and if needed, by points won/lost between tied teams.
- Winning teams must record their scores on the scoresheet.
- 6 players – A full team, with at least 2 males, 2 females, and 2 other players.
- 5 players – Team can compete without penalty but must still have at least 2 players per gender.
- 4 or fewer players – The team will forfeit the first set 0-25. If still incomplete after 10 minutes, the team defaults and loses the second set 0-25.
- No new players may join during playoffs. Players must have played in the regular session to participate.
- Teams can have up to 8 players on their roster.
- Captains are responsible for informing the team of all policies and procedures.
- Captains must ensure correct scores are recorded. If no score is recorded, the match will be considered a tie (25-0, 0-25).
- Teams must self-referee and be honest.
- The ball may be touched up to three times by a team. A block does not count as a touch.
- The ball may touch the net while crossing, even during service.
- The ball must cross between the antennae to remain in play.
- A player cannot touch the net with any body part or clothing, except for incidental hair contact.
- It’s not a fault if the ball hitting the net causes an opponent to touch the net.
- Incidental contact with posts or cables is not a fault.
- The ball cannot come to rest in a player’s hands.
- Multiple contacts are allowed on the first touch if it’s one attempt to play the ball.
- The ball can be played with any body part, but service must be with the hand or arm.
